Professor Herrick has clinical and research interests in Systemic Sclerosis-spectrum disorders and Raynaud’s phenomenon. She runs a research programme on different aspects of pathogenesis, measurement and treatment of Systemic Sclerosis and Raynaud’s phenomenon. She has particular interest in nailfold capillaroscopy.

She is a vice-president of Scleroderma and Raynaud’s UK and a collaborator of the EULAR Scleroderma Trials and Research Group (EUSTAR). She is the past president of the Scleroderma Clinical Trials Consortium.

Professor Edwards’ research interest ranges from the epidemiology and treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases to newer therapies for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. As Associate Director of the Southampton NIHR Clinical Research Facility he is engaged with the running of a large translational research facility with phase I experience.

He is on the editorial boards of Lupus and Rheumatology (Oxford) and is the organizer of the popular Ten Topics in Rheumatology meetings.
